Welcoming Paul Rigby
as Our New
General Counsel

As Re scales, we’re building the team to match. Today, we’re excited to introduce our new General Counsel.

We’re thrilled to welcome Paul Rigby to Re as our General Counsel. Paul joins us with a career spanning some of the most respected names in global insurance, including senior legal roles at Ergo Next Insurance, QBE North America, and Mapfre.

That range of experience — across both large established insurers and fast-growing insurance companies — is exactly what we were looking for. In his role at Re, Paul will lead our legal, regulatory, and compliance functions as we continue to grow. His experience across multiple markets and business models means he understands both where the industry stands today and how to build responsibly toward where it’s going.

“Paul’s appointment reflects our commitment to building an institutional-grade reinsurance operation. His experience with both established carriers and high-growth insurance platforms makes him the right person to guide our legal and regulatory strategy as we scale.”

Karn Saroya, CEO

For a company scaling toward $400 million in supported premium across 40+ cedents, having that kind of legal leadership in place isn’t optional — it’s essential. Paul’s appointment reflects a deliberate commitment to building Re the right way, with the people, processes, and oversight that our partners and the broader market can rely on.

We’re growing fast and building the team to match every stage of that growth. Paul’s hire is one part of that story. There’s more to come.

Interested in what we’re building at Re? We’d love to talk.
